Terms of service
Last updated 4 November 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses CarShipping247. By using the site you agree to them.
What CarShipping247 is
CarShipping247 is a marketplace that connects people who need a vehicle transported ("customers") with independent motor carriers and brokers ("companies"). We are not a motor carrier or a broker, and we do not transport vehicles. The transport contract is between the customer and the company the customer books.
Customers
- Requesting and comparing quotes is free.
- Give accurate vehicle, route and date information. Quotes are based on it.
- You pay the company directly, on the terms in its quote. CarShipping247 does not collect payment from customers.
- Inspect your vehicle with the driver at pickup and delivery and note any damage on the inspection report.
Companies
- You must hold and keep current all licences, operating authority, registrations and insurance required for the work you quote, and keep your profile accurate.
- Quotes are offers to the customer. Honour the price and terms you quote unless the customer's information was materially wrong.
- Do not try to obtain customer contact details or move customers off the platform before they book or share their details.
- Fees: you keep a prepaid balance. When a customer accepts your quote, the commission shown to you before you quoted is deducted from your balance. If the customer cancels before pickup, the commission is returned to your balance. Balances are credits for CarShipping247 fees only; they are not deposits, do not earn interest and are not transferable. We give at least 30 days' notice before changing the commission rate.
- We may suspend companies that break these terms, receive repeated well-founded complaints, or lose required authority or insurance.
Reviews and messages
Only customers whose shipment was delivered can review. Content must be honest and lawful. We may remove content that is abusive, contains personal information, or is not about the shipment.
Disputes
We offer a dispute process to help customers and companies resolve problems. Cargo damage claims are handled under the carrier's insurance and the transport contract. Our decisions on account standing and on refunding our own commission are final.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, CarShipping247 is not liable for the acts or omissions of customers or companies, including loss of or damage to vehicles in transit, and our total liability to any user is limited to the fees that user paid us in the previous 12 months.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
