CarShipping247 ("we") runs a marketplace where customers request vehicle transport quotes and verified transport companies respond. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Customers: name, email, mobile number, password (stored only as a one-way hash), shipment details (vehicles, route, dates, addresses, notes, photos), messages, reviews.
- Companies: contact person, company name, licensing numbers (USDOT, MC, NSC, CVOR), insurance details, service areas, quotes, messages, wallet transactions.
- Technical: IP address and basic logs for security and abuse prevention.
Who sees your information
- Transport companies see the route (city, state/province, first part of the ZIP/postal code), vehicle details, dates, photos and notes, but not your name, phone, email or street address.
- Your name, phone, email and exact addresses are shared only with the company whose quote you accept, or with a company you choose to share them with.
- Our team can see shipments, messages and disputes to run the service and resolve problems.
- Service providers that host our site and database, and that deliver our texts and emails, process data on our behalf.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
How we use it
- To run the marketplace: deliver requests to matching companies, show quotes, send alerts about your shipment.
- To keep it safe: verify companies, prevent spam and fraud, handle disputes.
- To meet legal obligations.
Texts and emails
